No sex, no bloody body parts, no betrayals, just good. Other reviewers will probably go into the plot lines, so I won't, but it is wonderful and full of good. You will find magic, spirituality, excitement, mystery, science fiction, and fantasy. Kaye's 'Little White Horse', and L'Engle's Wrinkle in Time series. Bravo, Shirley Gilmore, this novel is a towering achievement!Īs I said in my Amazon review, this is a magical book. I probably should have waited to write this review until the book has settled into my mind for a few days, but I was just too blown away to keep this to myself. 'Bucky' sets a mood that is easy to disappear into while reading, and it allows the reader to be transported into the world of the novel. I have seen New York times best-selling authors who can't do this. To have a slow burn story that never drags or gets boring. Shirley Gilmore's skill as a writer is second to none! She has pulled off the most difficult, in my opinion, tasks a writer can attempt. it may be too early to say, but I have a feeling that I will look back in the years to come and say that this is one of my favorite novels. This story, however, is one that will stick with me. Most, I don't remember that much of merely days after. This book is such a treasure trove of discovery, I don't want to deny the experience to any who read it. If I mention any more than what is in the book blurb already online, I fear that I will give something away. 'Bucky and the Lukefahr Ladies: Walking the Labyrinth' is a spellbinding tale about family, history, and the magic that is hiding right in front of us. I have just been on one such magical journey.
